This factory-spec short external extractor is engineered specifically for early legacy production SIG SAUER P226 and P229 configurations. Often referred to as the “legacy” or “old style” extractor, it is uniquely held in place by a small vertical roll pin within the slide cutout rather than snapping into the slide frame. This component is an essential and rare find for servicing older American and German-made models that cannot physically accommodate the modernized long-style extractor design due to completely different slide machining.
