Description

The genuine SIG SAUER OEM factory mainspring seat is a critical frame component housed at the lower rear section of the grip, designed to support and capture the base of the mainspring (hammer spring). It provides a rigid, secure platform that withstands continuous spring tension during the hammer’s cycling process. A cracked or heavily worn mainspring seat can lead to a drop in spring compression, resulting in gritty trigger pulls or light primer strikes. Molded from high-impact factory polymer, it delivers original durability and smooth operation.
  • Genuine SIG SAUER Factory OEM Part:Guaranteed perfect drop-in fitment, exact factory specifications, and lifelong reliability.
  • Reduces Friction: The high-grade polymer construction acts as a natural bearing against the hammer strut, keeping the double-action trigger pull crisp and consistent.
  • New-Style Geometry: Designed to accommodate the short-style mainspring and modern factory grips (including E2 grip profiles).
Compatibility:
  • Fits Classic SIG SAUER P-Series Models: P226, P229, P220, and P228 (configured with the modern long-strut/short-spring layout).
  • Notice: Does NOT fit striker-fired platforms (P320 / P365) or legacy old-style (pre-1999) models utilizing the pinned metal seat assembly.
