The Tactical Shooting Centre (TLK) offers special training for police firearms exam candidates, covering both theory and practice. The theoretical part focuses on weapons law and practical cases, lasts about 5-6 hours and takes place once a month in Tallinn and Tartu.

Relvaloa course

The theory of our firearms licensing course covers in-depth legislation, including the Firearms Act and the Penal Code, and includes practical case studies and examples of court decisions. The training takes approximately 5-6 hours. It is important to emphasise that our theoretical training does not end with the training day. The trainer, Tõnu Adrik, will continue to offer individual consultation and coaching at no extra charge until the firearms licence is issued. We are also ready to assist you in all practical matters of gun ownership in the future.

Training Timetable

• Tallinn: Theory classes take place once a month on Tuesdays at Nõlva 9 Centre, starting at 16:00. The training lasts from about 21:00 to 21:30. For more information about training dates, please visit our website and Facebook page.
• Tartu: The training takes place once a month on Saturdays at the Teguri 28a Centre starting at 10:00. The training lasts the whole day and follows the same principles – individual counselling and assistance until you get your weapons licence.

Weapons training

Weapons training includes learning safety techniques, the technical aspects of weapons, correct handling and practical shooting training. It consists of three 45-minute lessons with an instructor, which take place on an individual basis by prior arrangement. The shooting training components can be used for one year from the day of the theory training. Unused time from the practical shooting training cannot be used later to book other services free of charge at the shooting range.

Additional Services and Rewards

We offer additional ammunition at preferential rates. All participants of the firearms training will receive a 15% discount on the regular price of a Glock pistol.

Registration and Price

To register for the training, please send your name, phone number, address and details of the person paying for the training to info@tacticalshooting.ee. The price of the Weapons Exam Preparation Package is 290 EUR (incl. VAT 22%), which includes all costs related to the training: materials, instructor and shooting room rental, weapon rental and 50 cartridges. In case of cancellation of the training, we will refund the money under the following conditions: if you inform us at least 5 days in advance, we will refund 100%; if you inform us 3 days in advance, we will refund 50%; in case of no-show and no notification, the training fee will not be refunded.

Exceptions to the weapons test

Pursuant to § 35(7) of the Weapons Act, police officers, prison officers, active military personnel, auxiliary police officers and active members of the Defence League who have the right to carry a service or military weapon and who meet the health requirements for service do not have to pass a weapons test in order to obtain a weapons licence.
